                      Rajaji National Park


 Rajaji National Park a perfect wildlife destination and a tiger reserve which is situated at Himalayan Foothills in Pauri, Haridwar and Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, total area of this park is 820 sq km. This park came into existence in 1983 and before that it was divided into 3 different wildlife sanctities which were named as Chills, Motichur and Rajaji. Ganga is the lifeline of this park.
This park got named on C. Rajagopalchari( Rajaji), a big leader and freedom fighter
Raja ji was a prominent name in Indian history who fought for our freedom, the second and last Governor-General of independent India and one of the first recipients of India's highest civilian award Bharat Ratna (in 1954).
Final approval was accorded to Kudremukh (Karnataka) and Rajaji (Uttarakhand) for declaring as a tiger reserve in 15 April 2015. Rajaji became the second tiger reserve in Uttarakhand.
Now Rajaji has a big name when people want to visit in Tiger reserve and tourism is increasing repidly for last 4 years. This is the most Visited tiger zone after Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.
