Pangot Bird Sanctuary
Pangot isa beautiful place and part of one of the most beautiful hill stations of India. Apart from a beautiful village Pangot is well known for its bird sanctuary. This beautiful village is situated at Kosiyakutoli sub division of Nainital district and 6,510 feet heigh from Sea level.
Pangot is situated about 12 km away from main market Nainital, which is one of the most beautiful hill stations.
When we start our journey so we have to pass from the thick jungle area of Naina peak range with Himalaya Darshan and Eco zone which are known for Na da Devi view which is a one o the heights peak in Himalayan region
With a beautiful village Pangot is well known for its bird sanctuary which is home of around 585 bird species which includes resident and migratory both.
If you love bird watching so you will get different variety of Himalayan species like blue winged minla, spotted and slaty blacked forktail, bellied etc.
With birds this is also home of a lot of different fauna and Flora which includes
Leopard, yellow-throated Himalayan martens, Himalyan palmm, barking deer and sambhar.
This becomes an ideal hill station during summer and temperature goes mix 24 and during winter snowfall happens in this area.
This whole area is surrounded by mountains which are covered with dense forest and from here you can have a beautiful view of great Himalaya so this is an ideal spot for camping and photography as well.
