A mythological account ascribes the temple's construction to the legendary Pandava brothers mentioned in the Mahabharata. this named came into existence in the Skand Purana, which names Kedara (Kedarnath) as the place where Shiva released the holy waters of Ganga from his matted hair, resulting in the formation of the Ganges river.
As it is known that this was built up by Aadiguru Sankaracharya in order to make 4 dhams and intact India.
This is also a best location for trekking and wildlife lovers and per years millions of people visit in this area lot of yoga lovers come here because of its small caves which are used as Dhayna Kendra.
This is one of the best places in Uttarakhand which should be visited by every Hindu and nature lover.
