Kanatal is a small village and a hill station in the nation of Uttarakhand, India. Kanatal is 78 km away from Dehradun (capital of the Uttarakhand), 38 km from Mussoorie and 12 km from Chamba. It is on the Chamba-Mussoorie avenue and almost 300 km from Delhi. Some decades in the pas there was a small lake or taal (pond). When it dried up, human beings started out calling it kaana taal.  Shivpuri is set 75 km from kanatal and near rishikesh is shivpuri, a rafting place.
